Double-row angular contact ball bearings are characterized by being able to withstand both radial and axial loads, limiting the axial displacement of both sides of the shaft. Compared with the two-way thrust ball bearing, this kind of bearing has a higher limit speed, a contact angle of 32 degrees, good rigidity and can withstand a large overturning torque. It is widely used in the front wheel hub of cars (some models also use the same size double-row tapered roller bearing).
There are four kinds of structural deformations of double-row angular contact ball bearings:
Type A: a standard design for bearings with outer diameter less than or equal to 90mm. There is no load gap, so it can bear an equal axial load in both directions. Lightweight glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 retainer, bearing temperature rise is very small.
Type A: a standard design for bearings with an outer diameter greater than 90mm.Ball notched on one side and equipped with z plate press cage or brass solid cage.
Type E: it is a reinforced structure, with a ball gap on one side, which can hold more steel balls, so the bearing capacity is higher.
Double row angular contact ball bearings of type A design and type E design can have dust cover (non-contact) or sealing ring (contact) on both sides. The inside of the sealed bearing is filled with anti-rust lithium base grease and the operating temperature is generally between -30 ° c and 110 ° c. There is no need for lubrication during use and no heating before installation.
When installing double-row angular contact ball bearings, it should be noted that although the bearings can bear two-way axial load, if there is a ball loading gap on one side, it should be noted that the main axial load should not pass through the groove on the side with a gap.
